80% of Women Are Wearing the Wrong Size Bra!
5 Signs You’re Wearing the Wrong Bra Size
Band rides up your back
Straps dig into your shoulders
Underwire is digging in breast tissue
Double boon or cup gape
Neck, shoulder, or back pain
If you notice any of these your bra DOES NOT FIT.
This list will help you identify your fit issue
-
Why the Band Matters
Did you know 80% of your bra support comes from the band, not the straps?
If the band isn’t firm enough:
It will ride up your back
Your bust will sag in the front
You may experience neck and back pain
If the band isn’t doing its job, you’ll probably tighten the straps and they’ll start digging into your shoulders, causing discomfort and leaving you unsupported.
Your band should sit straight and level all the way around, no riding up your back. It should feel firm (Yes, firm!) on the loosest hook when new. You should only be able to slide one or two fingers underneath it.
If it’s creeping up? It’s too loose and your straps are about to start working overtime.
-
Straps are there to balance and lift, not to carry the whole team. If they’re digging into your shoulders, your band probably isn’t doing its job.
-
Your breasts should sit fully inside the cups.
Spilling over the top or sides? Too small.
Wrinkling or gaping? Too big.
We’re aiming for smooth, supported, and secure. -
That little panel between the cups should sit flat against your chest. If it’s floating away from your body, chances are the cups are too small. And no, tightening the straps won’t fix that 😉
-
The wire should sit around your breast tissue, not on it. If it’s digging into your boob instead of sitting on your ribcage, that’s a big red flag 🚩
-
From the side, your bust should sit roughly halfway between your shoulders and elbows. Think lifted and supported not pointing south. There should be no double boob or obvious lines where your breast tissue is spilling out. Putting a top on while trying on a bra can give you a good idea of the shape.
